As part of Freight Focus Month, the Western Cape Mobility Department visited MasterDrive, a specialist driver training organisation. The team learned about MasterDrive’s advanced training programmes, technology demonstrations and road-safety initiatives. MasterDrive’s work, including its freight-focused MasterTrucker training, helps improve driver skill, reduce collisions and support safer, more efficient freight operations in the Western Cape.
The visit underscored how crucial skills development is for the future of freight: well-trained drivers are central to reducing collisions, improving efficiency, and raising safety standards across the industry.
